Do I have a knock-off Dualshock 4?

The controller came with the secondhand PS4 that I bought.
It also included a short white not original charging cable. The battery is all but dead and have to use a usb cable to use it, but it is supposedly 4 years old.

One of the things that has been pointed out by Youtube is the d-pad arrows on the controller (not the d-pad itself). If they are well visible, then it is an original, if they are light and hard to spot, then fake. Mine are light and hard to see.

Don't want to replace the thumbsticks on a fake controller.

Stuck in meetings and a sev 1 VM restore for the day...see Pokemon TCG released the pre orders for the 30th aniversary.

It has been horrible trying to get. There will be more allocations to stores around mid august depending on how worthy the the pokemon company decides South Africa is.

Getting those UPCs in November will be tough...

I just want to get 1 ETB for the collection. And will not pay more than what normal stores sell them.

Attached is 1 of my collection pieces. Never to be sold.

You cannot natively install SteamOS on a Samsung Android device. SteamOS is designed for x86-64 PC hardware (like the Steam Deck), while Samsung phones and tablets use ARM processors. However, you can achieve a similar handheld interface and play your PC games on your Samsung device using streaming apps or Android-based Linux environments.
 
How hard does a HDD (not SSD) work in a PS4?
Compared to say a PC.

Just trying to figure out if it is a good idea to buy a second hand 1TB Western Digital Blue HDD off of Carb as a backup for my PS4?
New prices are pretty steep.

I backup my data onto a 500GB, but if the 1TB in the console fails I want to have the replacement ready to go.

Plug it into the PS4 with the USB cable ;)

It'll show up on the PS menu ( Storage menu )
 
This was his feedback (he's a reseller):

"Hey bud , the 1TB was used as a photo and video storage by the previous owner. He said he bought them when he bought the case I just sold so should be around 3 years old. Both are at 100% health though and hard disk sentinel shows a life expectancy of over a 1000 days on each."

So 3 years for the 1TB, but that is why I am asking how hard a HDD works in a PS4 compared to a PC, does it work harder and therefore induce a shorter lifespan?

You'll be fine, relax :)

Just make sure it's at 100% - still id prefer an external SSD.

Cool.

No, I want to use it as a replacement for the internal HDD (ie. will need to do whole USB reinstall of the OS), not as additional storage space.
Currently for my needs a 1TB HDD is enough (though Gran Turismo 7 did take up a boat load...).

My PS2 has a 1TB SATA SSD, PS3 has a 2TB SATA SSD :D

1TB on PS4 would make me stress re Space

With the prices of SSDs these days, it's just not worth it. Games are running fine with the HDD.

If it was before the massive price increases I would probably get an SSD. For instance I bought two SSDs for my laptop a while back and the prices on them have now doubled......

So you think I should search out a 2TB instead?
Secondhand 1TBs are pretty common and cheap, haven't really looked at 2TB, but let me have a look.....
