Previous ones where like Chess and a story. Will see how this is.Have never played a Fire Emblem before, but this looks good

Was it a new HDD?So I replaced the HDD in my PS4 with another 1TB HDD as I thought it had been in there long enough.
I performed the system software reinstall and restored my old settings and games and everything seemed to be going fine.
However now when I download say a 2GB patch for Gran Turismo 7, the download goes without hassle, but the copying takes FOREVER and ever (I mean an hour and longer just to copy 2 gigs of data!!), whereas before it used to sail along as normal.
Could this be the new HDDs fault? It is a very thin 2.5" HDD not the fat one like the original HGST (I think it was the original at least as I bought the PS4 secondhand) thicker one that Sony included.
There's no way I can continue like this, so should I just put the original HGST HDD back in or should I try again with another 1TB that I bought. I bought two 1TBs, one to backup stuff and another as a replacement in case the HGST broke.

Only thing I can think to confirm is if you could try another disk then.

Blow real hard to get dust out?Disaster. Put the original HGST HDD back in and now it is also going at a snail's pace.
Not sure what happened... downloading is fast, but then copying slows down to a crawl.
For instance, I downloaded the 2 gig update for Gran Turismo 7 in a few minutes and then it started copying, but after 10 minutes it was still at 0% copied!
Any ideas?
