I need to know which combination will give me the best connection.

Will going through any free proxies improve skype or will it all be shaped by telkom before it even reaches the ISP ?

Any ISP Plus OpenWeb or Nukecap Proxy ... will that improve a skype connection ?

I can't really afford the paid VPN's any more.

use a local provider instead of skype perhaps....I know Imagine are have a betta system up and running....that way all you need is local access...

I see IS is selling @ 17c per minute ... but I can't find this on their site or from their support desk.

IS is expensive, and they won't sell direct to the end user. Their target market is big corporates / call centers

Hey

As soon as our new server for FreeVPN is up, you should check if it works good enough, then there is no need to pay for VPN access. I recon it would perform rather well.
