The PS42C450 would be very tempting..
You didn't tell me directly, but I picked it up fro, other posts ;)
Wouldn't Frontosa have to order from the supplier though...ie. 4-6 weeks waiting time...?

Yep. Mine only took a week or so, let's wait and see what they say, am finding out.

Just remember though - they are not a "buy and try" sort of place. :p :D

I emailed a few stores from the PriceCheck list and Ikonic and Sybaritic have both let me know that the PS42C450 would take 4-6 weeks for them to get...
 
So I have just set up my ps42c450. And it's a loud buzzer!! So irritated. And I have the volume up at normal listening levels and still the buzzing is distinct. I even transported it correctly standing up.

Going to leave it on for the night and see if the buzzing goes away. But I have tried the Hdmi source adjusted the brightness cell light took off all the silly things like dynamic contrast.

Do I have the worst luck or what??

dude, I had the exact same issue with my 50C450, irritated the **** out of me, packed it in the box, took it back and had it swapped. Luckily the buzz is not audible unless I REALLY try listen for it and definitely can't hear it with volume even on soft.

Take it back. It will drive you to do tik or heroin. Seriously not worth it :D
 
It's just so frustrating. Good golly should have just keep the c550 and should be sitting easy instead of driving back tomorrow morning and swopping. Grrrr.

Well I definitely don't want to do Tik or heroine. When u took it back what did u say? Didn't the sales person say all plasmas buzz?

lol you certainly should A) Not do tik or any other drug :p and B) NOT have taken the c550 back :p

I told the oke it was buzzing like a fridge and that if he didn't swap it peoples lives were in danger :D

He didn't even bat an eyelid. He even told me that if this one buzzes and I am not happy he will give me a full refund or I can choose something else.

That was Cats Digital. I have a new found respect for them since then.
 
I heard the software update helps with the buzzing?

Maybe I should try that or should I just take this fridge back first thing tomorrow?

Worth a try I guess, but I doubt it seen as though it is a physical hardware part that causes the buzz.

But try it, got nothing to loose. I don't think it effects the warranty. Otherwise yeah take it back!
