Do you think that seeing as the exchange rate has dropped a bit that Core might lower prices a bit? Any thoughts??

Oh, you serious? hahahahahahahahahaha

Core. Lower prices. Never. The exchange rate is there to justify high price, not just at Core either. Look at car manufacturers - they do it too. When the currency recovers, they remind us that it takes about six weeks for the knock-down effect to affect their prices. Six weeks later, the currency has lost ground again and everyone forgets about it. And if someone is smart enough to remember, the reply is usually how irresponsible such a price move would be, considering the current situation.

I have been following this one in the auto market for years now...

Sorry ran out of breath there for a moment

I think the Dalai Lama will have a better chance of coming into the country than Core dropping their prices !

The problem is that people are still buying the cars at these inflated prices. It seems in SA that people can afford things that Europeans and Americans can't.

Stop buying cars, buy used and force the makers to lower prices.

Of course that will lead them to cut production, retrench workers and the knock on effect will make everything worse. However, if people have more
cash to spend with cheaper cars, maybe they'll spend more in other fields and that will bolster the economy via other means.

haha, just the response I was expecting! Glad I am able to provide some entertainment :P Though in the back of my mind I still wish they would lower them... :( Apple could really get a bigger presence in this country, it is a shame that Core is left to handle everything...
