I don't know of any. All I can add:
My dad had that OP and it's a massive OP, good luck!

Hernia repairs are typically done by urologists, not by general surgeons. You have some complicated plumbing in the nether regions, don't let a hack in there who could screw things up royally if something goes wrong.

I had a hernia op last November, Dr Johan Becker at Pretoria-East did the work. I was off work for about a week and fully functional after about 3 weeks.

You also had the liquid diet for about 6 weeks and what not?

What type of Hernia? Had my Hiatus Hernia fixed 2 months ago at Midstream. On that note would HIGHLY recommend Midstream

Edit: I saw Dr's Gordhan and Basson ( http://www.generalsurgery.co.za/ ). Dr Gordhan did the actual OP and it went great. Just prepar for it - lifestyle changer. *Note: On the presumption that we are talking about the same hernia*

How long ago did you have it done and was it a success, what do you mean by lifestyle changer? I have two huge hernias in my abdomen and my navel is the size of my fist and getting bigger all the time.

I want a hernia op and have nothing wrong with my internal male organs so do not need a urologis this is what i googled:-Urology (from Greek οὖρον ouron "urine" and -λογία -logia "study of"), also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs. The organs under the domain of urology include the kidneys, adrenal glands, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs (testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate, and penis).

I wrote a massive reply and my phone bombed out so here is a short version.

My hernia was a hiatus hernia which is different from what you seem to have. The operation required a special diet post-op and a lifestyle change like increased exercise

Give the guys I linked a go - they were great! I would recommend midstream. Great nurses and at worst you share a room with 3 people but extremely private

If you have an inguinal hernia, the tear in your abdominal wall is right next to your male plumbing, hence the reason why urologists typically do those repairs. Have you actually seen a doctor about this, or are you relying on a google diagnosis? Have you had some ultrasound scans to determine exactly where the hernias are?

Had mine done by a general surgeon Dr Neil Swart at Netcare Blouberg , no problems.
