General tyre warranty?

In general, when you get yourself a new tyre or a set of tyres, shouldn't some kind of warranty apply?

I'm asking because I got a back tyre about 1500 commuting kilometers ago and there's already a crack on it and when I went to check the pressure yesterday it was underinflated at 240Kpa before I fixed it up to 290Kpa so Honda obviously didn't do a good job in the fitting process.

I really don't want to pay another R2k for a new tyre so I'm hoping for some insights?

Well generally one assumes the dealer is competent. Guess not.

30 April - that's like 7 weeks.

I would take it in for them to check. There are obvious signs of damage vs factory flaws. If they are decent enough they will be able to distinguish between the two.

It's important to check tyre pressure regularly. It's not always apparent that air is being lost, but it generally escapes at the rate of up to two pounds of air every month.

I typically on check my pressure when I fill up about every 3 weeks or so. Every week seems a bit excessive IMO.

I agree, but leaving them for 7 weeeks and then blaming the dealer is a cop out.
