The sticker is all gone but I know it is a Grip 2.2 4 Stoke... I checked google even did a image search nothing came up. I have a manual but it has several model codes in it so not sure about the model BUT factually no page for error codes so essentially toilet paper. It has a new spark plug filter and oil.It may help to state the make and model of this generator.
if a grip builders sells the regulators in the service kits .if the capacitor its best to get from a small engine dealer lawnmowers etc .i think you overloaded it and blew the regulator or it was just time for a new one.or you tried to run your fridge on itThe sticker is all gone but I know it is a Grip 2.2 4 Stoke... I will service it later today. I tested a fan on it seems to work, did a voltage test and it pushes 233 Volts so I will test frequency next but I will pull out the regulator and check where I can get it.if a grip builders sells the regulators in the service kits .if the capacitor its best to get from a small engine dealer lawnmowers etc .i think you overloaded it and blew the regulator or it was just time for a new one.or you tried to run your fridge on it
No I do wipe it off with a dry cloth, I don't believe water should get close to a generator. I pulled out the regulator will try and get a new one tomorrow. Thankfully I don't need this one. This is the generator that normally travels with me when I do installation work. 90% of the time my clients has some sort of problem with power so I bring my own. The worst this generator ever saw was a 300Watt drill and sometimes I would use it to drive my 800Watt water pump. But it never really saw much use.you didnt maybe wash the genie
you should be safe with that as long as the pump isnt loaded and under pressure .your W will be around 1800w continuous an 800 w pump under load can easily pull 6 amps on startup .please post what you found when fixed .No I do wipe it off with a dry cloth, I don't believe water should get close to a generator. find the capacitor usually square .11uf or 17uf it may also have an issue clean its terminals properly squeeze them closed a bit and retry .View attachment 1387554View attachment 1387552
This is with new AVR 224 Volts 53.78Hz Both should be within tolerance actually

Friend of mine Got it in Jhb and it is original parts
But error still shows not sure what it is but I know it has oil it generate power so I am using it regardless.
I have a Fluke 117 and it is True RMSvoltage is fine 5% up or down is ok .frequency lower is 47 and upper usually 53 on a gene max that little bit will just make your kitchen clock fast .is your fluke true rms
nice machine .I have a Fluke 117 and it is True RMS
I actually didn't check before I replaced the AVR. But I still have the old one so I can check tomorrow.what was your frequency before you changed the regulator .it may also resett after youve loaded the genie
I actually do have both the manuals but mine doesn't have the codes I will look into scanning them in and making them available.I can't find the manual for my old 2.2 grip but IIRC the P codes were a reminder to service various things at the required interval. P 50 being 50 hours run time - time to clean the air filter or oil, or both.
Edit. P for periodic.
