generator exhaust

I started my generator today after not using it for a couple of years. All parts cleaned and correct, but there seemed an excessive amount of exhaust fumes in the garden. Any ideas for a funnel or add on exhaust/filter to minimize pulution as well as ideas for enclosing to reduce noise.

exhaust pipe must go into water like the vacuum cleaner.

Noise, cover the motor. Care not to heat it up. The engine makes the noise.
