Hi, bit of a noob when it comes to this.

Can you connect a generator with AVR to an inverter to charge the batteries(2x100ah gel) The generater would be a 3kva 2500w, and inverter is a 3kva 24v Hybrid Solarwize inverter.

If possible how, the inverter is stand alone, not connected to db but directly to a wall plug. Thanks!!

Get a battery charger and plug the battery charger into the gennie and charge the batteries directly.

There are other ways to do this, but for those rather consult an electrician to avoid nuking your electronics or worse, death.

Didn't think about that, thanks. Will this be the correct connection, and then charger to ac connection of the generator?

Just plug the hybrid inverter into the generator, no need for another charger, your inverter has a built in charger.

That should work perfectly. Tho you will need a higher amperage charger or it may take a long time to charge.

Tho, to be honest I misread your original post. I thought you where saying your inverter is connected to your DB I reread it again and I see its not.

As Kawak says, just plug the inverter into the generator, it will charge the batteries.

That was my first though but I wasnt sure if it could be done. Was thinking that the generator is ac out, and seeing that the inverter is plugged into the wall plug I can just plug it into the generator.

You mention 24V in your OP tho. How many amps are you using when charging?
