Hi everyone

I have a client with a 20 or 30 kva 3 phase generator with automatic switch over which needs repair.

I have phoned three reputable companies which do not even to bother to return the call. I know they are all busy but surely you phone leads back,

So does anyone know someone that repairs these generators that likes at least phone back and make a appointment

Thanks in advance

At this time of year? Have you just got off the aircraft?

What's wrong with it?
Two Phases died from eskom. It started up and took over once eskom so called fixed the problem it would not switch off when we switched it off it did not switch back to eskom power. When we tested again we had over 300v on the one phase. So i think one of the contactors id fried but I am noexpert

And is that how you run your business glad i dont phone you
I am retired! But getting things done here is a pain. My insurance broker adds the services of someone called Brolink (there are others around: I suspect they are often just one or two companies with different trading names) to my policy, and they pick me up if broken down etc. They also get someone round to you if your geyser bursts on say Good Friday, or if your electrics fry....not sure if they will deal with non domestics, but they have lots of reliable contacts. I often ask them for a recommendation if I am looking for say an electrician or plumber for a routine job: you get someone reliable. The cost is peanuts - a few rand a month. You could try sweet talking them on Brolink Assist on 0861 338 339 to see if there is anyone they know. I think they sell their assistance service on a free standing basis. They are at http://www.brolink.co.za/products/.
You probably have a broker already, but if you need one my broker is away in Australia right now, but still doing her email on an as-and-when basis.

I am not sure if they are open but Gerardo at Maverick Generators may be able to help...

Edit: Arg, I see this is old, but the guys at Maverick are still great.
