Generic HDMI Cable for xbox360

Where can I find a decent generic xbox 360 HDMI cable online, also is it worth getting or should I rather fork out R450?

Get the cheapest.... Don't fall for expensive cables... it's DIGITAL SIGNAL FFS! - Either it works, or it doesnt...

Get the Ellies HDMI cable. Best of the cheapest. Should be less than R200. Just remember that the official XBox HDMI cable comes with a separate audio connector that means you don't have to output your sound and picture to the same source although HDMI does carry sound.

I wanted a generic Xbox 360 HDMI cable with the audio connectors because my TV's speaker's are basically blown, but apparently you can just cut a piece of your existing Component/AV/VGA plug that goes into the 360 so the HDMI can fit in at the same time ?

Generic is perfect.
I bought a 10meter generic cable for my XBOX 360 from "Tafelberg Furniture". For R300. It's excellent quality and the lenght didn't make any difference. (the 5 meter was halve the price!)

The sales guy tried to convince me to go for the superior "Monster Cable" for only R1950 (5 meter)!!

My LG 22" had a earphone jack, which I used to 'split' the audio which is carried on the HDMI cable at the screen side. Works like a charm.

Seems there is some confusion here.

The official AND generic "Xbox 360 HDMI Cable" comes with the seperate audio connectors. The generic version you can buy for R250 brand new on BoB.

An HDMI cable alone can cost as little as R70

You'll find instructions fairly easily. No reason to pay extra.

Just that it was way cheaper than any local HDMI cable

I need a similar cable, but its the AV out unit on the older xbox that does not have the standalone hdmi port. Dont wanna use RCA cables on the HD tv.. Cheapest is R399
