Prof. Geoffrey K. Everingham, Geoff, Bcom (upe) Bcom Hons (uct) Mas (illinois) Ca(sa) is Professor of Accounting at the University of Cape Town and since 1996. He is also a part-time special consultant to Ernst & Young. He has been Independent Non-executive Chairman of Sycom Property Fund Managers Limited at Sycom Property Fund since March 24, 2010. He served as Acting Chairman of Transnet Ltd., since August 11, 2009 and as its Director since 2004.
He serves as a Director of Transnet Ltd and V&A Waterfront Holdings (Pty) Ltd. He has served as a director of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Company. He has served on the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors and GAAP Monitoring Panel.
He is a well known author on accounting and corporate governance matters. He has published numerous articles and books on financial reporting and accounting.
