This is my theory, I once went playing paintball, during target practice the girls shot very accurately, I missed. During the game they sucked, didn't hit me once. My first shot was a perfect headshot, then I realised it was against the rules and body shots are easier.

Later on I stood in the target range since I wasn't hit once, think it was strifing which saved me. So I wanted to feel how it felt to be hit, the girls all missed again. My conclusion was they were afraid of hurting a person.

You have to prepare yourself mentally that you will kill a person, visualizing the enemy is an important aspect to that. Otherwise you end up being in a war shooting at real people unable to actually pull the trigger. Am sure they used other training scenarios some other ethnic group would not like either.

People always say how Germans are sorry about WW2. We'll I recently spoke
to a well off German fellow. He was peed off about WW2 but not because
Germany caused so much suffering and murdered so many people, but
because they attacked Russia. He figures they could have signed an
armistice with Britain and not have attacked Russia. Sorry about WW2,
but for the wrong reasons, sorry that the 3rd Reich crumbled under
Russian and American boots.

I don't think speaking to one German person says much about Germany...

He is right though, imagine the world if Russia had a better climate OKay it might have taken more than that, but still.
