Germany leaves SKA project

I'm just playing devils advocate here.

You can only really play devils advocate when you're working with real facts.

There is no "global mistrust" therefore your devils advocates position falls apart.

I disagree.
There's enough proof that many investors won't touch South Africa.

Those damned white foreigners are behind this I'm sure of it.

Oh wait.

NO **** SHERLOCK.

Didn't read the comments, since EWN is similar to News24... comments devolve into useless rubbish very quickly.

So you don't think for a second that the corruption that is clearly rife in this country would have an impact on investors into a SA run array?

Yes, it does have an impact, but that impact does not equate to "global mistrust"
**EDIT**

Also, the levels of corruption in this country in terms of FDI, are bad, but they're nowhere near as bad as pretty much the rest of Africa, or some countries in Europe and South America.

Of course it does. Some will see this as an ideal place to make some money without being concerned about governance. Others will definitely not invest because of the ethics.

But that aside, the key reason behind investment is that the reward justifies the risk.

I fully agree.
For some reason though, science is taking a back seat lately.
