GET ANOTHER DAY UNCAPPED FREE!

I have found a trick that works well for me. I have my standard 3GB plus I buy another 6GB for downloading per month. I have found that if you realize you are to become capped tonight. Then do the following:
1. Wait until 11:45pm and disconect your modem.
2. Redial and connect to your account.

You will only get capped the next night (12 hours later) at 11:45pm.
You can even take this one step further:

Make sure that on the last day before being capped that you download your ass off so as to exceed your cap as much as possible then perform the above.

I have sometime gotten as much as 1.5GB in 2 days extra.
Telkom screws me I screw back.

Most ADSL users prolly do this, myself included. Methinx it's also recognised by Telkrap and they punt it as a 'feature' of supposed benefit to users. The downside is of course the fact that speeds degrade materially on the last day of the month, as users rape their connections for all they're worth before the new month kicks in...

Anyway, 24:00 (or 00:00) till the next night (24:00/00:00) is equal to 24 hours, not 12 hours.

Seeing as with a 512k account you can pull (optimally) 4 gig every 12 hours, you'll be, theoretically, be able to pull 16 gig in 48 hours. Personally, I'll typically want to hit my cap in the beginning of the month, but whatever... []

sorry how did u do ur maths? pull 4gig on 512k in 12hrs? lets do the maths again.

512k = 64k but you get roughly 55k+9k overhead.

So 55k x 60 x 60 x 24 = 4.752000 gig per 24hrs

You only doubled it ;-)
