Get Back - The Beatles

37%... I guess that's a pass

Hmm obviously these aren’t true Beatles / Muso critics. The 3 part series is basically them getting ready for the Get back tour so you see the real personalities of the Beatles away from the stage . It’s basically a jamming session .

This doccie series just goes to show how good the resolution of film is... 50 years later, and you can scan the original 35mm prints into 4K (if not higher resolution). The same cant be said for fixed-resolution analogue video tape that saturated the 80's and 90's.

Who cares - Beatle fans are deceased/ to old to remember.

Jackson needs to direct what he's good at - epic fantasy based on novels.

I'm not dead yet !

And they have fans of all ages.

Half a century after their breakup, The Beatles are still the biggest rock band of 2020, shifting 1.094 million album-equivalent units through the first six months of the year, 326,000 units ahead of the genre's second-place finisher, Queen.

According to the United World Chart, the Beatles have 16 of the 100 most successful tracks of all time, and also seven of the 100 most successful albums in history. The Beatles recorded four of the Top 10 Greatest Albums of All Time, according to Rolling Stone magazine, and three of the Top Five.

Get Back is a debunking of the myths suggested by the Let It Be movie, that the lads parted as bad friends and that Yoko was the villain. This documentary shows both were complete nonsense.

The other eye-opener was how hard George had to work to get his song-writing recognised.

Which is odd seeing as his first solo album sold more than Imagine and Band On The Run combined.
