Hi, I am on our office's wireless network with my laptop. I also want to get my Samsung Galaxy s II on the network, butthe administrator tells me that there is no key/password. How can I get my phone on the wireless network too? This is another "under the radar" exercise (if you know what I mean). Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Go to your wireless settings on your laptop, there is a tick box to "Show password" and if there is a key/password it should be there...

The key is provided for me automatically... It is hidden somewhere.
Network authentication is open
Data encryption is WEP

Check to see if your wireless on your laptop is authenticating using a certificate. If so export it onto your phone. Big assumption your using a smartphone and it will be compatible.

Sounds like you're also going to need proxy settings.

They might also be filtering by MAC address

Depends on how large the office is.
I would not filter for 10+ users.

Good idea, check your proxy settings.
Control Panel - Internet Options - Connections - LAN Settings
Is "Use a proxy server for your LAN.." ticked?

Thanks guys!

I can not use the WirelessKeyView programme ..... Symantec reports:
Event: Risk Found!
Security risk detected: Trojan.Gen.2
.... and I can not disable Symantec it is controlled by our offices ... I will scratch around a bit

I doubt they will use mac filtering - we have quite a lot of personnel in out offices
No proxies are ticked

I booted in safe mode and managed to run WirelessKeyView programme. Low and behold! It picked up my home network and another network I was on before, but not my office network.
