Getting a telkom line installed..

It has been about 2 years since I had just a standard analogue line installed by telkom... in asking that... last time it took about 7 weeks.

Is the waiting period still this long? Say i call them tomorrow to order it? how long is it expected to take? I need it as soon as possible!

It all depends on the your area you are in. Is there current infrastructre, do you already have a line into your house. I had a line already and it took 9 days to activate.

On a New Business line I ordered on a Thursday by the next Tuesday it was installed, that was in December.

For the ADSL, my ISP placed the order with telkom on the 30th os December, it was Activated by the 7th Jan (last wednesday)

took me 7day to get the line installed and about 30mins to get it activated

I got one installed yesterday. It took a week.
