Hi.

I have a two year contract with autopage. Not sure how MNP ect...works but after two years to hell I'd like to get away from them. I'm now due to an upgrade. Can one upgrade through another company, or must you wait for you contract to run the full term and then give notice, before going to e.g. vodacom service provider?

Please help, as Autopage offer the worst serive ever, even now with upgrade options, the word serive is unheard of in there shops!

Please help

With a Vodacom contract, you can give notice of termination a month before your contract is due to expire. If you don't give notice, the contract will be changed to a month-to-month contract, unti you cancel it.

Should you take out a new cellphone, then the contract will be renewed automatically.

You can cancel your contract in writing with them after the full term, and upgrade through another company. Or you can keep the contract running for a month or two before terminating it, and have another contract at the same time (if you can afford it).

Remember to check how far in advance you have to give notice.
When I was with Nashua I had to give notice 6 weeks before the end of the contract to terminate it.
Check with your new service provider as to when you have to sign up with them, it's usually the week before the end of your contract.
I moved to MTN SP and the transition was quite smooth and I'm certainly much happier that I did. Good Luck.
