Getting better ping to wow

As of late I been getting quite a bit of lag on wow.

I was wondering if it is remotely possible for a large company (IE Saix etc) to offer some kind of reroute or something along those lines to speed up your connection to wow? (if yes who must I get in touch with)
or if you are using something similar please share?

I'm currently on unshaped 1024 with Telkom as my ISP and getting about 400 - 700. Recently I been getting 700 - 1200 (did a format on my pc being very careful so I dont think its a trojan)
 
1st of all apply the registry hax,
2ndly get someone in europe to host you a socks server disabling nagles thingy :>
I get around 300 ping now with a shaped account.

Do explain that thingy part please. I gots the European .... :D
 
I don't recommend using Lowerping since Blizz EU seems to be banning people for it.
We had 3 guildies who were using the service given 72 hour bans and final warnings (on accounts that had never recieved any before).

If your using windows xp your could just ggogle reghack and do that it improves your latency with at least 150ms.
I am getting 300-600 without the reg hack also using unshaped adsl provider telkom.With the Hack i get 150 ms less.http://pnv.guildomatic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=105

Did Blizzard say that it was for using lowerping? I've been using it for a few weeks now.
 
Is getting a unshaped account too expensive? Since the lowerping results I have seen is not that significantly better than an unshaped account, if at all.
 
I play on Webafrica unshaped. R125/gb and my lat with lowerping is between 215 and 300. Will uninstall lowerping and see how much worse it is.

*EDIT* Is lowerping and fasterping the same thing?
 
There has been problems with saix/verizon of late i use 2048 unshaped and have been getting crap lag; it could have something todo with the cable break or data centre issues. Applying the fasterping patch is useless as it was built into the code base of wow a few patches back.

Ok I just reread the email they recieved. Apparently many farming services use proxies and as a result our guildies (who I know for a fact are not farmers or even buyers) got banned for "Type of Violation: Involvement in online trading activities"

They fought with Blizz about it and one of them managed to get his overturned but it seems it's very much a case of being at the whim of the GM you're talking too.
Some are more reasonable and others are dumbasses.

I'd rather just bite the bullet and avoid using a proxy service just in case.
 
You all got it wrong people aren't getting banned for using a socks server the only time they do get bann is if the accelerate the download through it, this is called speed hacking in wow and my result in your char moving 10 x faster, most of you have probably seen this in battlegrounds.

anyways lowerping.com is useless the servers are usually flooded and during peak hours they don't deliver better ping that is why I got a guildie to get me one for the 3 south-Africans in our guild and since we got a Anti- Sa policy now it will only be for us 3=)

If you have a unshaped account lowerping or a alternative socks32 server is NOT needed lowerping in affect changes your shaped account into a unshaped one bypassing some proxies and Nagle algorithm
 
Nah it wasn't speed hacking that got those 3 banned. It was just because they were using Lowerping.

Sadly they did get a noticeable improvement in their latency while they used to use the service.
 
I talked to a gm about it certain software such as faster ping is not allowed although putty the application I use with sockscap should be fine I i get banned I can talk my way out of it normally blizzard is reasonable.
