Well I live in a complex and I recently saw the new dsl packages from afrihost and Vox and I read somewhere that you will need a landline to get it even though the afrihost websites says that you don’t

The house I live in is in a complex and I don’t see any landlines in the walls so I was wondering

-if the afrihost people will have to dig up the ground to install the landlines and
-if I will need permission from the owner of the complex to install this package

(I have checked the website and I am in the covered area for dsl) just wanted clarification

Thanks!

Check with the neighbors. Do they perhaps have fibre or copper.

Most complexes have one of the two installed or conduits provided for these services

Telkom will only (possibly) provide adsl in an area not serviced by fibre
