My current setup with ADSL is:
TP-Link Archer D7 Modem/Router (wifi switched off)
1 x Ubiquiti Unifi 8 port switch
2 x Ubiquiti AC Pro Dual band AP
Ubiquiti controller key

I also have a Ubiquiti Unifi USG gateway that I haven't plugged in or configured yet.

So I'm getting fibre soon (yay) although sadly it's openserve for now.
I'm looking at going with cool ideas and I see they have an option on their site asking if I need a router/modem.

What I'm uncertain about is:
I believe fibre goes straight into a CPE which they provide, I assume then that the only thing that get's plugged into the CPE is my USG?

So I don't need a modem/router from Cool Ideas then, that correct?
I assume the CPE is included as a standard?

You can plug your D7 (place it in router mode and one LAN interface becomes a WAN internface) or USG into the CPE that will be installed when you sign up, no need to use Cool Ideas router.

Cool, simple as that then.
If I configure my USG now, then when Fibre comes all I then would need to do is plug my USG into my CPE and nothing else changes.

Who installs the CPE in my house, OpenServer or Cool Ideas?

It's usually the infrastructure provider.

OpenServe. You need to plug it into the I think LAN1 port, and then on the completely opposite side on the archer.

Sorry, both are mounted on the wall, took image from below with bad lighting. It should give you an idea of what ports to plug it in, see the yellow cable.
And then just set operation mode to wireless router:

And dial a PPPoE connection:

and you're good to go.
