Read this on the Tradepage FAQ and was wondering if anyone knows more about this:
It is also anticipated that the iBurst service will soon be available to Pocket PC (PDA) devices via the iBurst Access Card. In future iBurst communication will be available via compact flash cards and also embedded in devices.
This will be very cool indeed. iMate PocketPC wit an iBurst card and Skype.
I then dont have to be behind my PC to make free calls.

Anyone any idea when this may happen?

s'True!

Check out the PDA option... http://www.blue.net.au/iburst.html

Also checked out the Kyocera iBurst Brochure - interesting quotes you may have missed before...
Users get to enjoy all their favorite broadband applications — Internet access, e-mail, corporate applications over VPN, VoIP, streaming video, on-line gaming — all on standard platforms
No comment.

The Access Bridge (read UTD) provides up to 1 Mbps downlink and up to 346 kbps uplink IP bandwidth in a small desktop modem ... (Data rates of 2 Mbps downlink and 700 kbps uplink are coming in the next iBurst system release.)
/me rubs hands in anticipation. When are we seeing this? Our cap will last only half the time. :D

The iBurst system’s maturity and stability have been proven in all its deployments and trials to date, where its performance has exceeded every expectation.
This must have been printed pre-April 2005.

I agree!!!!!!!!
But is it possible to have two modems on one acc. or will one need a separate acc. for a additional modem

seperate account
unless they can flash the same UTID on both but i dont think they can

I suppose I'm letting a rattle snake out of the bag, but I was told that it has been done already to allow for 1 * UTD and 1 * UTC on the same WBS iBurst account, and sharing the same allocated bandwidth.

so if it's in the flash it can be changed. Although I think it will cause **** on their network & might be illegal

AFAIK having a UTD and a UTC on the same account can be done without changing any UTIDs on the UTs themselves - it's a database thing ;).
