Getting the mic to work.

I'm having problems with this. Can hear other people just fine, but they can't hear me. Are there any settings I'm supposed to change? I tried the 360 troubleshooter on the M$ site, to no avail.

Did you unmute it?

If you did your mic is buggered. There is nothing that needs to be done. Plug it in and talk.

PS: The mute control is on the part that connects to the Controller.

It was meant to be fixed in the last update... have you downloaded the latest update?

It's not working in XBL. Haven't actually played online... partially due to my non-functional mic.

I never have understood the mic. Do I press the button down on the mute/unmute part to speak ?

Gavin, I was in XBL and receiving voice communication from a friend while in the xbox dashboard.

Try play a game and see if it works there. If not then get a new Mic, if it does then something is wrong on XBL.... ask M$
