Geyser fault

Hi. My geyser keeps tripping after about 20min. It's the circuit breaker and not the earth leakage that trips. Any suggestions in what could be the problem. Could it be the element? There is not much to a geyser other than the thermostat and element.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. The plastic parts on the outside of the element were degraded to the point where they started leaking. Replaced the element and no problems since then.

Thanks. Did you replace the element or did you call a plumber/electrician?

If you have to replace the element, don't forget to check the anode.

The home owner called a electrician and he explained it to me and replaced the element.
