So I have a Geyserwise Max solar geyser installed. The one "issue" I've found is that in the afternoon the circulation pump runs often. The reason it's problematic for me is that each time it happens my monitor goes off and on for a second or two. Presumably due to the power surge, but my monitor also has a 10m HDMI cable running between the PC and monitor, so could be interference anywhere along the way (the geyser is almost directly above in the roof, and the power cable must run down the wall close by). Anyways, I want to increase the max temperatures to reduce the amount of times the pump runs, and wanted to find out what are safe temperatures to use (erring on conservative)?

Currently I have mine set as default: 55 / 45 / 46 (afternoon) / 55

Solar diff: 7 degrees

Thanks!

I have the same setup from geyser wise it's a small little pump that moves the water when heated (mine also on 7c but understand it can be set to 15c)
I'm no electrician but to me I cannot think it would create such a big surge?

Set the difference to 15c then, but you run the risk of not heating your water then depending on temp differences

The max you can set it is 65c it can go safely beyond this but it wont heat up anymore on the element.

Reduce this to 45c in summer. On evac this will hit 80degc just on tubes alone.

Okay, so looks like there's actually an issue. Spoke to the Geyserwise people (very helpful!) and it looks like the non-return valve or heat trap has a problem causing reverse siphoning. This is causing the temperature in the collector to be very high (same as the geyser) and triggering the pump often. Getting a plumber in on Monday to have a look.
