Am going to go against my own advice and getting myself a new gfx card.(can't wait any longer)

I can't decide between the gtx 570 or the HD 6970 and the different brands.

Point of View GTX570

MSI ATI Radeon HD 6970

XFX ATI Radeon HD 6970

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6970

powercolour ATI Radeon HD6970

Could anyone shed some light on these cards or some others at around the 3K mark.

Details I'm looking for(general performance, oc performance, COOLING)

Should i just get the cheapest one that i can, or do the others offer noticeable differences.

Also i see they need 550W (really?) seems a bit high will my Psu be able to handle it (Corsair ax750w with 2600k)

Your Corsair AX750 would be able to take 2x GTX570/HD6970's.

Can you perhaps post the prices that you'll be paying for either of those cards, and also links to the specific models?

The best price that I saw on either of those cards was:
XFX HD6970 going for just under R3300 - http://www.ikonicit.co.za/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=46970

MSI usually has the best cooler out of those brands, but you'll have to look for the Twin Frozr II / Lightening models if you want a better cooler. Unfortunately those models usually costs considerably more.

Bear in mind, all those brands are 2 year warranty AFAIK, bar Powercolor which is 1 year. Asus and Gigabyte = 3 year warranty. Asus has local support. Could be important to you to justify the premium.

i think NGR computers has a special going for the 6950 though. 2 Year Warranty

i had a 5770 club3d , solid little card and no issues at all.

the 6970 are top cards, doesn't really matter which route you go as they all just pump haha but on all seriousness, i would hit Asus as its got local support, which means they are closer for you to bli$$$$ them if your card is messed, really not a bad card at all tbh.
