Hello to everyone.

A little while ago I purchased an ATI sapphire HD 5570 GFX and was going good for a while. Played most games on med-high with decent fps.

Just a couple of weeks ago I purchased a new screen which is full HD and at the moment the GFX and screen seem to be getting on okay-ish. The GFX does not have an HDMI port but the monitor does. VGA is just not cutting it anymore.

I would like to stay with ATI as I have had problems with Nvidia before. I have about ÂŁ130-140 (R1400-1500) to spend and would like the best of the best within that price range.

My current pc specs are : AMD Phenom 2 x6 1090T BE. 4GB DDR 3 1600Mhz. Arctic 700 watt PSU. Asus Crosshair IV Formula mobo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Why not just use DVI?

6850 or 6870 will suit you fine.

:D but I see that there are a few different types... XFX, sapphire, Gigabyte is there much of a difference? Prices vary slightly. Also what is the power supply connection required for that card? thanks.

Your 5770 should using a 6pin pci-e connector and the 6850 should use the same.

Just get the sapphire. not always the cheapest but great warranty support.

I have a 4770, and it works beautifully with my Full HD Samsung 32" LCD running 1920 x 1080. Just use DVI to HDMI Cable/converter.

Just buy the cheapest one dude, although before you do just ensure the warranty is at least 2 years.

I would imagine you only need a good 450w or 550w to run it.

Its a 5570, doesn't need power cables. But yes I agree with sapphire.

@plbartie true I could do that but I am also just needing a new GFX. I WANT FULL HD GAMING!

Thanks guys

Guys is the Gigabyte GV-N570OC-13I GTX570 PCI-E Desktop Graphics Card a good card?

Yes, the Gigabyte GTX 570 OC is an awesome card, but you'll need a case with enough space and decent cooling.

Bummer dude,
Case:
VGA card length: 270mm (with HDD cage)
VGA card length: 390mm (without HDD cage)

GeForce GTX 570
Card size: 280 mm x 128 mm x 40 mm

So it means removing the HDD cage on that case.

ahh crap did not look at that.....Thanks for helping ponder, really appreciate everything.

Will go look for a new one.

I will only have 1 HDD. Will that still work?

But I would like to go for SLI in a few months time

Thats a lot for a case...loll. I will look into it thanks m8

Yea but you spend money on it now, in 5 years that case will still be going. You could say 4k for a gpu that will be outdated this time next year is expensive as well :D. At least with a good case it will go the distance.

That is a depressing though on the GPU lol,

That case does look nice.
