Just to correct you, it's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and not Advanced Warfighter. It comes out tomorrow, I plan on buying it, especially for the multiplayer.

Dont you mean Ghost Recon Future Soldier? The console versions were released earlier this month and the PC version is not available yet.

GRAW 1 and 2 were released 2006 and 2007 respectively.

i ordered the pc version a few weeks ago from takealot. delivery was meant to be today. I emailed them late yesterday afternoon as the order tracking had not changed. i received the following reply

"We have upgraded our technology to improve on our efficiencies and deliver
exceptional service to our customers.
As a result – our deliveries are several hours behind schedule, but we are
working furiously to catch up. Please bare with us. "

So they improve efficiencies and service by taking longer to deliver, seems a bit strange to me! not to mention the fact they want everyone to strip with them!!!

oh hell i pre-ordered this like MOOOOOOONTHS ago and im picking mine up later this afternoon.

I loved GRAW 1 and 2 and i've been waiting for this for way to long hope it steps up.

Sigh ... heart broken .... i dont want a buggy game!!!! i dont mind a few screen glitches but actual play being affected,
that just sux :{

I am collecting mine this afternoon.

Such a pity it is a STEAMing pile of poop game. Not the game itself, that utterly wonderful creation called STEAM.

The Steam version is an absolute mess, but the retail version works great, so don't worry and don't let that article put anyone off

Picked up my copy earlier this morning and been having a blast. Just sux somewhat when you connect to people with a Steam copy as it will disconnect you from their session because their games haven't been updated to version 1.2 yet.

But in all fairness, the game is a blast to play in multiplayer. I already met one South African in the very first match I played, Cyb3r_0pticz, he's from Boksburg!

I tuned him in the lobby, "Howzit going?" and he's like are you from South Africa and I'm like "Yes, I am, how'd you guess that?" and then he said, "you said howzit", we both lol'd

PS: My UPlay name is Ston3Cold, feel free to add me.

PS2: Don't buy the Steam version (at least until they sorted out the patch issue), go with retail for now instead !

Yup, retail PC version ROCKS!
Installed it with no issues, updated both patches. Going to give it a go later.

Love all the Ghost Recons and have played them all.

I have heard of and read about the STEAM guys having endless issues as usual.

I just read that the Steam version is also up to date with version 1.2. Apparently it's something else that are causing the disconnects. I'm going to do some port forwarding and see if that helps.
