hi there to anyone wiling to help
i just got n Gigabyte M1022m booktop, it came out with windows home xp sp3...obviously i hated that idea so i tried to install win7, damn what a screw up it is now

firstly it didn't want to to install after i have selected the partition error : " setup was unable to create a new system pertitiion" WTF? it also had n EISA partition which i deleted - damn now nothing wants to work nor wil it boot up with the usb

please help

boot into bios and change boot device to usb then get lyk a small windows/linux that will fit on ur flash and see if that works.

got backtrck on flash...bois set to boot from usb, also have win7 on usb (but thats the one that does not want to boot....!? linux boots fine but does not pick up /dev/hda1

Just send back to retailer and let them sort it out.

hmmm...Maybe. Try connect external dvd and format with disc

uuuurgh damn net books... question is is there a difference between usb en ext dvd instillation?

remove hard disk,
expose power terminals of hdd to ac :)
replace into netbook
return to retailer (" silly hard drive musta packed-up???")
done

okay this has just become a big thing...windows XP can format the drive and copy **** to it but when it restarts i get a "hal.dll" error every damn time... 3copys of xp does it. Win7 on the other hand can even format the drive but can through diskpart.exe but stil cant install to it... please any ideas??

the damn thing only has limited settings... only IDE config settings are HDC CONFIG set as IDE combined , only option and ATA/IDE MODE which has the setting as native and advane S3 which i cant change...
