I tried my app on the local pubs wifi. It found more open ports than the popular Ping Tools. It found an open Telnet port on the router. I downloaded a Telnet client over their wifi. Connected and the router happily identified it's model. A quick Google search gave me the default login for that model. Worked. Full control of said router. Another search gave me detailed command options. Logged off. Test completed, yip scary.
So it's worth checking your network ...
Eish says my router telnet is open
Rather slow if it's not in the foreground (Nexus 7 2012 4.4.2).
Seems to hang when it gets to the device's own IP address. (Yip, definitely hung - had to kill it. Don't know if flitting between the app and Tapatalk had anything to do with it dying.)
If I trust someone enough to give them access to my wifi I trust them not to try and find a hole... But in any case none of the people I hang out with has a clue about tech so I am probably safe![]()
Has anyone tried v6?
Some screenshots, Galaxy S2 4.x inch display. Cut off on the sides. The scanning started in landscape, but when I checked something else and returned by long pressing the middle button, it's portrait view.
In portrait view when I cancelled at about 70, the ad started sliding in but stopped as per screenshot, halfway.
