I'm looking to get a badly scratched window on my car replaced. I've tried PG-glass but their quote seems quite high.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to other options in and around Cape Town?

have you asked if it's possible to have the scratch filled?

They use liquid glass & it leaves only a tiny mark. But cannot be done on all scratches & cracks.

It costs less than replacement. Also speak to your ensurer. Some of them have the stuff repaired without it affecting your payments & bonusses.

Glasfit all the way.

PG-glass rips people off and charges double than glasfit.

GOGO Auto (.co.za i think) they supply trade centre used to supply builders warehouse, but i dont see the product anymore: DIY windscreen repair kit +-R 150 or so i paid for the kit, refils are like R50 the last time i found out. Manufactured and patented by some okes in boksburg(supplier). People dont buy because they dont know about it, but its actually quite easy to use, and repairs crack up to 12" long. (something that PG dont do coz they want u to buy a new glass)

EDIT: the correct website is http://www.gogoauto.co.za/product_info.php?products_id=93

Price for the kit is R185, still cheaper than fixing 1 stone chip at PG, the kit can do quite a few chips, especially since the refils are cheap :)
