Anyone else in the Glenashley area experiencing exchange congestion? I've seen the La Lucia thread and thought we could have one of our own.

Never heard of the Glenashley exchange , is there such an exchange ??

LOL, it's strange to see a congestion in this area.
I was one of the first persons North of the Umgeni River to have ADSL installed in August 2002. (031562)
I had the whole world to my self then, my line was a 512k (all that was available then) but I actually got the lot at 6 mbit, although my downloads never exceeded 1 mbit and now everything is congested.
Amazing how technology in SA gets worse with time :(

Oh yay congestion commences at 11:26am, can't do ****all for the rest of the day.

The main exchange feeding that area is at 5 Norfolk Place just off Kenneth Kaunda Rd. https://maps.google.co.za/maps?q=gl...d=qKnoidjDXT-SdeCNROVocQ&cbp=12,29.57,,0,1.69

It's a DSSU site feeding smaller exchanges in the area and it's very close to one of the core sites (DPSU) in KZN (Pine Str) so providing backhaul capacity should not be a problem but in Telkom things take ages to do. Glenashley probably feeds off the exchange right next to La Lucia Mall (but I could be wrong) which in turn feeds off the main Norfolk Place exchange and then back to Pine Str. & New Germany.
