Sad, but true. It's quite amusing how people think if they say something enough it must be true.

So if you just blab "global warming is a hoax" enough times with no substantiation whatsoever, it makes it a valid standpoint.

Phrony, to his credit, at least attempts to bring some actual science to the debate.
 
Global warming is a cycle the earth goes through.

Nothing more nothing less. The Cycle also corrects itself, I'm pretty sure there was a Global warming before and a Global cooling. Sure the same will happen again. That being said, even if all the ice on earth where to melt it can not cover all the land mass on earth.

There is a study into Global weather cycles and paterns somewhere, I'll try and find it.

I know, but these people dont care what the real truth is.. I realized that a long time ago. They only want their own beliefs to be real. They choose their reality.

There is no cure for this kinda thinking, we just need to hope they dont pass the same sickness onto their kids.

no, but he does make sense. You throw money at a problem that is not even well-defined, much less solvable while you ignore the current problems afflicting billions of people, i.e., HIV/AIDS, malaria, poverty, etc.

This is an issue of pragmatics and is irrelevant to the discussion at hand, namely, is global warming a hoax?

As I said before, it's a natural cycle the earth has been on for centuries. Sure no one is saying our contribution isn't affecting the scales of extremes in both cases. But this cycles will keep happening going warm, cold, warm, cold and so forth. However the extremes of temps might change due to our foot prints.

We are currently in the Global cooling cycle since 1998 ;)

Whether it's a hoax or not is somewhat moot, don't you think? Much like the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. By the time most people realised it was a mistake to invade Iraq it was too late, innit?

Ditto with the global warming lobby. They're smiling all the way to the bank :rolleyes:

Next time read the whole post before jumping the gun. I said I'll try and find some study to back it up. Haven't found it as yet. Can't recall what it was but found some other articles to keep you busy in the meantime ;) Don't try and claim moral high ground when you are blinded by your own view.....

LOL what? For **** sakes man. EVERYONE accepts that right now there's no (or little warming) that does not mean that GW is over or the GHG are not the main cause. All that the article states is that there are a number of different theories as to what is causing the current SHORT TERM cooler phase. It could be related to solar issues, or PDO events, La Nina, whatever. This is NOT a refutation of AGW.

You failed to read each and every post of mine completely up till this point. NO ONE is saying CO2 is not causing the current raise in temps on the warm cycle or the drop in the Cold cycle.

They are saying that there is no proof to claim it would not have been like this 100% as there is no data to check against. The world had an ice age according to some people. Now if that is the case it means there was a time where the cold cycle became so bad that the world froze over. That without the CO2 contribution. The Cold cycles are also getting colder BCO, pls don't miss that point.

Again, who's saying the cold cycles are getting colder? The could cycle we're in now is warmer than the one between 977 and 1985 and the one between 1981 and 1989. We have meteorological data to back that up.

Globally the temps are falling to levels it was back in 1988 and still declining

There is alot more stats there for you to view. This means we're entering a cold cycle and this cold cycle will be cooler than the previous cold cycle if it continues on this trend.
