Hi all. A while ago I also had this problem. I helped my mom get a gmail account, and also set up outlook express for her to send and receive email. What I did, is set up her email account, and then I opened outlook express, open accounts, and then export my email account, and then on my mom's pc, opened outlook express, and import my account, and then just configure that account with her email address and passwords. So as far as I can tell there cant be anything wrong. But what happen, when my mom send email to someone, and they reply back, then that email goes to my own gmail inbox. But I dont get any email that someone just send to her, only those who reply to her email. Now, I helped someone else, and the same thing happen. Please help me out here, I'm desperate.

Don't know a thing about outlook.. I use evolution.. but it sounds like you have your address set as the default "reply to" address on your mom's account..

Just my guess..

I did check on the reply address. It was set to reply to the address it was sent from. So what I did is to put save her address as a "different" reply to address. It worked, but last week I got one of her mails again. I also wondered if I must delete that mail account settings, and download the settings provided by gmail. I was just wondering if there isn't anywhere else to check for the problem.

i just think it is easier seeing that it is only about 4 fields you need to complete:

email
pw
pop
smtp

maybe i forgot something, got used to setting up emails in outlook 2007 (only email address and password, outlook does the rest)

Send yourself an email from her machine, have a look at the headers and see if your email address is in there anywhere.

Check that the correct account is in the settings, you could of used your username on your moms, but put her email address, just check both the pc's and see that the username and email address correspond

Believe me or not, I did check all the above. When I get an email which is my mom's, her email name is right, but my email address is next to it as the reply address. I checked at gmail on the settings also, but everything there is right. My email address is no where there. Thats why I can't understand this. I think what I'm going to do is to delete the settings on outlook express, and download that gmail config thing. Then try again. Thanks for all the input.

Have you got multiple accounts in Outlook Express configured perhaps?

.. but why Outlook Express? I'd *never* willingly give/support that for someone, I have had nothing but bad experiences when the crap hits the fan.

My 2c

Only one account in outlook express. I use outlook express because I dont use all the other features of ms outlook, I like it simple. Thats my only reason.
