gmail/google apps alias/wildcard catch-all email

anyone know if you can setup gmail/google apps to use a wildard catch-all email address.

eg, I want to make mailbox -> [email protected]

then I want to setup a catch-all, eg, *[email protected] -> [email protected]

[email protected] -> [email protected]
[random][email protected] -> [email protected]

the google machine doesnt seem to be helping me

Closest I can find is under: Settings -> Gmail -> General Settings, at the bottom of that page you can setup a catch-all address.

You'll have to do it from the Google Apps control panel/ Admin Section..

Once logged in, goto

Settings > Under Services, Select Gmail, and set the catch-all address.. example. test @domain...

No.. AFAIK You can only have one catch all address..

The only thing I can think of is if You use Address aliases, where You have one account [email protected] and manually create the others as aliases on that account... So emails sent to the aliases will be delivered to the [email protected]

my intention was to run automated tests where the username/email would be a combination of "milliseconds since unix epoc" + "[email protected]"


instead we are just going to setup filters on that domain's catchall mailbox
