edit: Sorry it should work with any setting, the new opera doesnt work with Vlive, anyone here got opera 3?

my java apps use the internet APN by default. this is a very weird problem indeed. i'd send emails to google to enquire but me not got internet. so if anyone else wants to take up the issue be my guest. but when i tried to get it to work on my sisters Samsung E370 it gave me a port error. which is where i got the port blocking idea from. my phone is listed under supported handsets.

I am using the internet apn and it i not working. It was working but after vodacom had that problem 2 days ago, it is not working anymore. I also used to download my email onto my phone using gmail via pop3, but ever since the internet ws down, i am unable to connect to the gmail server.

im having the exact same prob as Gaythechie on my samsung ZV50. everything else works though. opera mini, mig33, mxit

lol i use 6600 and it doesnt go tru. it does say app not compatible on gmails site so i cant blame voda. all my other symbian and java apps work, im using internet apn. il just continue using profimail...

Works for me on 'internet' APN on Nokia 6680 and Nokia N90.

:L:

At the end of the day a Nokia always seems to be best. Gonna break my LG any sec now.

it uses a HTTPS secure connection. which i dont see as a problem? very weird indeed.

No luck with 7610 either, I get the same "This program requires a working data connection. Please check your signal strength" error.

When I connect to the bank that is also an https connection, so it does not make sense.

Using Internet GPRS APN from phone.

I had the same problem for the past few days, but it's working 2day :)

Try changing the language setting in GMail (the website not the phone app) to English US.

It just crashes my Samsung D600 a few seconds after I open it.
The phone just restarts :(
