Hi Guys

My setup is as follows, i set up my my gmail account in my outlook and then i setup my primary work mail to be fetched by my gmail account.

So all my work emails that are sent to [email protected] are being fetched by gmail and despammed and then they are sent to my outlook. I no longer receive work mails from my primary pop server but through my gmail pop servers.

I hope that is clear enough for everyone.

Now my problem is as follows,

The gmail service is to slow at fetching my mails from my work pop server, can i adjust the intervals at witch gmail looks for new mail in my work box ?

And when i send an email it is sent using my primary work mail, but when i forward a mail i have to manually choose witch account must be used to send. How can i change that so that when i send a new mail or forward an existing mail it always uses the primary account that is already set as default?

Thanks In Advance Guys

W@P, I'm not sure...

But this is the same way I have it set up for my Dad. Exactly as you have described.

1) I think you can change the frequency of when it polls the server in your settings.... not sure though I don't have an account set up currently.

2) You can definitely specify to always use your work account as the default sending account. That option I know is under the accounts tab under settings. Just click "make default" next to the e-mail address you want to send from all the time.

Thanks guys

The thing is under my account settings, my primary account is set to be the default sending account. And it works that way until i want to forward a mail, then i must select from witch account it must be sent. There's a little tab under the send button where i can toggle between what accounts must be used to send that specific mail.

I tried to have a look on the gmail site under the setting but there is nowhere an option to set the time intervals at witch gmail must look for new mails in my work box.

Anyhow the setup works quite alright, almost no spam. :)
