Gmail pop downloadig problem

Can anyone please help me? I use gmail for quite a time now, and recently helped a friend to set up theirs. It worked fine with outlook express (pop downloading). For some time now, if I download my email to outlook express, it does not download everything, and not big ones, or photo emails strange emails, normally just text emails. And my friend also have the same problem. I dont want to check my mail on the website all of the time. Where can I look for the problem?

Is it not perhaps some spam filter you are using

In Outlook Express go to Tools- Options- Security. Uncheck "Do not allow atachments etc..." and "Block images..."

Why do you want to pop your Gmail account? Its easier to use from the web and always available, where there is a PC and internet. You take the whole almost 3Gb space idea away if you download it to your PC anyway...

Download it and keep it archived on gmail. That way you get the advantage of having a local copy and being able to view online.
