Guys need some help please. When sharing something like a photo or web link etc. via gmail on my iPhone, it doesn't actually do anything after I hit send.

I'll hit the share button, gmail pop up comes up and I input the receiver address and hit send, pop up disappears and I assume it's sent. When I go to my sent items in gmail it's not there, it's also not in my iOS default mail app and the receiver also never gets the email I sent. If I share the photo via my default mail app it works no problem.

Normal emails and manually attaching photos web links etc. works fine. I only have issues when sharing from the photos or from a web page. Anyone have any ideas?d

No sure what the problem is but I found that the gmail app is not great-

Rather get an app called Spark- it's brilliant.

I do have a US iTunes account so not sure if this app is available in the local store.

The problem in essence is that when I share a phot via gmail it does not show up in my sent items and in turn never actually sends anything to anyone. I'll have a look at the app, thanks.

I don't use the gmail app, but gmail is set up as my default mail handler, it works fine for sharing photos as you described. What are you using as your default mail app?

The gmail app. Although I just checked out Spark as suggested and it looks great. Works basically the same as the gmail app but faster and more efficient. I'll probably stick with this for now.

It's a great app- glad you like it.
I would change the default browser within the app to Chrome (well that's if you're using Chrome for IOS.
They also need to introduce landscape support but I've seen many people have requested this so hopefully it'll be available soon.

Another good one is an app called Zero- but it's still a bit buggy and not as responsive as spark.

What's the benefits of using Chrome? My bookmarks from my PC already sync with iCloud so I'm not missing any bookmarks.

I've got the same issue with the gmail app on android.

I've found that hitting the refresh (check for new mail) button after hitting send pushes it through.

Didn't help me, but glad to have a change for a bit. Gmail was getting progressively slower at opening mail especially my archives. Maybe it just needed a fresh install. If I don't like spark I'll try gmail again.
