Gmail scam warning

Got the following email:
Gmail is working on total security on all accounts and as a result of this security upgrade we require all Google members to verify their account with Google. To prevent your account from disability you will have to update your informations by clicking the reply button and filling the space below.

Account:
Full Name:
Password:
Country:

Warning!!! Account owner that refuses to update his or her account within Seven days of receiving this warning will lose his or her account permanently.
Thank you for using Gmail !

Its a scam, if you receive it don't do anything... ;)
 
Thing is, you will still get idiots replying to this with all the requested details....

We are very concerned about your security so for safety post your gmail username and password, bank account details and any other personal information here on this forum and we all keep it safe for you.
 
i also recheived this, and deleted it. You sure its a scam?

Did you look at the URL - @google-users.com, then there was a link to NOT Google.

For future reference NO bank, provider worth their salt will EVER send you a direct link - they will say something like "log in to your account/control panel/etc" and please make the <required item> change.

Think, why would they need to send you an email when they can set an autimated notification when you log in? Always good to try think about how you could scam someone in to providing details, an email with the word Google doesn't make it Google.

I actually want to test how sill people are by sending an email from [email protected] and see how many people actually click the link.
