hi guys need help.

in 2017 I needed to insert a company logo it my gmail signature - I succeeded by uploading the logo to my google drive and providing a shareable link in the gmail. it worked

now I have to change the logo to the new version - I tried the same method above but only get a tiny blank box where the logo should
be. see pic below.

I've tried most tutorials on the net without success.

any suggestions?

Did you try clicking that image button and uploading from your pc?

Tried all methods.
Even emailed the pic to myself then used the pic address.

None of them work anymore.

Even my private gmail account which allows me to click on "my drive" directly doesn't work.

Strangely my work gmail account doesn't have the option to click on "my drive"?

All methods result in the pic above. The links work but the picture doesn't show.

Mine works fine - so you must have a setting that is preventing you.

You've tried on other browsers / other devices?

I am using Chrome. Not sure that would do it but perhaps. Does your email allow for images? Try and put one in the body and see what happens.
Also using chrome.

I already have a logo in my gmail signature.

I want to replace it with the new company logo

The link from "my drive" works but does not show up in the gmail signature.

assuming gsuite?
Are you an admin?
Try look under admin settings.
Often things are disabled globally there

Who uses Gmail for a work account...and adds a sig to it?

Why does the company not have something like Exchange Online and it's own domain?

If I'm missing something, I apologize?

You are missing something. You can have Gmail with your own domain. Gsuite.

nope none of the above - just a plain gmail account which I have already inserted the company logo 2yrs ago.

now when I try insert new company logo as I did before & using all the tips & tricks on the net - it just show a tiny place holder as in the pic I posted above.

Gsuite is actually a very clever system. Cheaper than MS and does basically everything most people need. I trained it for a while for Google. I was actually impressed with how they changed the programs and brought them into alignment with MS.

I used to be an FF fan until I got a Chromebook. Used Chrome and trained it. Was really impressed. Don't use FF any more.

Dumb question - you are on the latest version?

Not my point. It is about corporate identity and looking professional in your communication.

And R54 per month for Online Exchange is hardly expensive.

True - but then I have an office online account as well as my Hertzner account. @gmail.com is preferable to @Whatevercompany.onmicrosoft.com
