Hi all.
Assisting a client with an email issue. No matter how many times I set an app password, a week later Outlook would request a password again, so figured the only way to solve this would be to remove, and readd the account via Outlook's add account option, and do it automatically, so that it signs in with Google.
Unfortunately the client was running Office 2013, and it seems that Outlook signin, doesn't appear to be compatible with 2013, so I migrated him to 2019, and had to migrate him from POP, to IMAP, and had to migrate over 15 gigabytes of emails, which date over 15 years, and the majority of which are important.
The migration was an absolute nightmare, but the worst seems to be over, and the only issue now is that "synching subscribed folders" can take upwards of an hour (sometimes more) to complete, and this is a big issue.
I understand, there are a lot of folders, off the main inbox, and due to the importance of the content, I had to subscribe him to all of the emails. There have been times it finishes and says "Connected" but once send and receive is pushed, it's back to square one again.
How can I get the sync time to be shortened.
Thanks so much.

Experienced similar before, not a fan of too many subscribed folders but que sera sera. Some steps you can run through in case you missed something:
• Disable RSS Feeds if not in use; File > Options > Advanced > RSS feeds > Uncheck 'Synch RSS feeds to common feed list'
• Compact the data file; Account settings > select data file . Settings > General, click 'Compact now'
• Archive older emails that are not accessed all the time
• Double check connectivity/firewall/3rd party add ins.
