Gmail to block more file attachments

Google’s G Suite team has announced that from 13 February, .js file attachments (JavaScript) will be blocked.

“Gmail currently restricts certain file attachments (.exe, .msc, and .bat) for security reasons,” it said.

Google Drive? Surely just uploading said Zip to Google drive and linking to it is easier?

Some people like their attachments in their mail. Afrihost did something similar and there is a complaints thread about it.

So now if someone else sends something, I have to save it somewhere my side (cause the link can go poof, the doc deleted, whatever), instead of just leaving it in mails as attachment for future access.

I hardly use gmail anymore I also notices a lot of .co.za mails never reach the gmail inbox

Never had a problem with that.
Did you check your spam folder?
A lot of South African idiots type gmail.co.za instead of gmail.com
