Hi there,
There have been posts before about Gmail being slow with iBurst. The problem (or at least the posts) have gone away.

I am finding that sending mail with attachments (small, <1meg attachments) takes for ever. My download connection to iBurst (their speed test) shows >700kbps but upload is in the 100-180 range. Could the slow uplink be the problem? Any ideas?

I have tried the interactive Gmail and POP3 forwarding/Outlook.

Well, yes. the upload is what counts when sending a file to someone else.. ie uploading?

So your general speed that you would quote (download) doesnt matter much at all, although it is usually a indication of how good you upload will perform as well.

Im not really shure about the Gmail thing in general, i dont use it much. But the problem was apparently sorted as you say.. im shure someone can help you out with that..

100-180kb isnt slow for Iburst upload rate really, it isnt too slow in general either, but you can expect it to be slower on international links.. assuming thats what you email is.

The strange thing is that using a yahoo.com account with the same attachment has normal speeds. I presume yahoo and Gmail are hosted internationally:D

Strange enough 8321. When I do uploads to gmail it moves! Not sure wot the problem can be on ur side..
