I am very keen for one, where did you guys get yours and how much can one expect to pay? I have seen between R3500 and R4000, online and in the shops.

I played with the first version while in Moz a few months ago and was very impressed especially in the surf!
 
I checked on ebay some for as low as R2200 - have to smuggle it in though. Incredible connection and general retailers had it for R3900.

How many hours can it take on 1 battery - and afaik it saves to an SD card. Interested cause I thought about using it to shoot for long periods, like hiking etc.

I only have the GoPro 1. (2 wasn't available :/) Get yourself a class 10 32GB SD for it, you can record for roughly 4hrs on a battery - but an extra battery costs you R280 or thereabout I would imagine.

Here's one of my dive videos I did with the std. housing. I've since then gotten myself the proper dive housing which I'm still keen on testing.

The underwater footage for normal housings isn't too great, but with the comparison I've done here it's quite a difference. (Also note that HD descaling was used to allow for youtube uploads. The original HD vids look much better. I should prolly use vimeo or something more hd friendly)

I saw the footage RocketBoy took in Mauritius using my new dive housing (not the one used for my vids) and the clarity is AMAZING!

Can't wait to go diving with it!
 
Saw a whole lot of GoPros at Cape union mart. I think I want one :)
