anyone here got the above camera working with there iphone 5?

ok to answer my own question - so my dumbass friend forgot to tell me that it's a 2nd hand gopro hero 3 silver addition 
and that it already has a PW in from the previous owner!
so to change the PW - there seems to be 2 ways to solve this problem.
go change the PW through the gopro update site or this way:
When you download the update it comes in a zip folder.
When you extract the files from the zip folder there will be a folder named "update",in that folder there are 4 files.
1) HD3.03-firmware......bin file
2) settings......IN file
3) update......windows command file
4) WF3.03-app......BIN file
Open the "settings" file and you will see something like this:
{"current_password":"","token":"","wifi_ap":{"ssid":"YOUR CAMERA NAME HERE"
,"password":"YOUR PASSWORD HERE"},"wifi_networks":[]}
Where I wrote in red " your camera name here " use backspace to remove anything written there and type in the name you call your camera ,and where I wrote in red " your password here " in red remove anything written there and type in the password of your choice.Then close the settings file.
When you have done that put the updated files noted above in the root directory of your SD card and put the card in the camera and turn the camera on. It will go through the update automatically.
