I have Harmon Kardon soundsticks. Great speakers, but recently (not sure if connected with Windows update), they go into "sleep mode" while i'm watch a video... dafuq, right? Then, even if I adjust the volume of windows, still nothing. I have to turn the speakers on and off before it comes back... makes no sense, i know.

Googles gives me buggerall to work with.

How about you guys?

I presume they are connected via USB?

My USB M-Audio sound device does the same thing. Has to be switched off to re-activate it.

Also happens with big file back-ups to USB device. Drive will switch off resulting in a 'file not found' message.

Must be a windows update which did this - not sure if it was the 1803 update though.

BTW I did check under device settings that 'Allow Windows to turn of this device...' was not enabled for all USB devices and hubs.
