God doesn't set age limits: Utah paedophile

You forget that the bible doesn't endorse these perversions. The whole OT is a long catalogue of how sin, travelling down the generations, defaces and destroys. War, genocide, captivity, exile, murder, adultery, slavery, fornication, sodomy, treachery, betrayal, jealousy, lies, deceit, exploitation, destruction, hypocrisy, oppression, anger, rebellion ... just a few of the uglinesses you'd expect to find in the scriptures. They are some of the evils that blight humanity, and they all arise in human heart.

The parallel theme is how the promise of redemption travels through history, issuing in a most unexpected way.

The Good News doesn't make any sense unless you first understand the Bad News.

"The Good News"? I would hardly call a 2000 year old fairy-tale any kind of news :erm:

If it is with your daughters, not a problem :D

The Bible doesn't condone their actions, it's simply records them as having taken place.

Their actions would have been condemned under the law.

Lev. 18:6-18
“‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.
“‘Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, because she is your mother’s close relative.
“‘Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your daughter- in- law. She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor your brother.
“‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.
“‘Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living

imma gonna tell you what the bible also says............an eye for an eye and it don't say I must leave it up to no court room to do justice if you do wrong by my children or me.

Well, these ain't God's rules here, boy. *Swoosh moves the blade*
*Splash the blood* as the head rolls on the floor.

Unfortunately it's: "let's bother everyone around the world with the thoughts of a profoundly sick mind.".

ORLY?

Leviticus 25:44-46

44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

Exodus 21:20-21

20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

Not only does the God of your bible fully endorse slavery, he even had different rules for varying category of slaves. Hebrew, female, inherited slaves all had different laws, even the selling of your children into slaving was permitted under certain conditions.

God ordered ordered slave masters to be fair to their slaves, slaves to be obedient to their masters & serve them like they were serving the Lord themselves, and on occasion suggested that disobedient slaves were to be beaten and put to death.

Dunno which bible you read, but the one I did condones slavery, rape and even murder!

As a former bible thumper, I feel tremendously stupid knowing that it took me close to 25 years into my life to figure out that all this is BS. Especially when you see how bias the OT especially is towards Israelites. It takes a real fool to not realize that it was written by a Jew with a motive. I think I always knew though, was just in denial because when you grow up believing something and having it shoved down your throat enough it becomes important to you to prove it to be true.

TLDR: It is blatantly obvious that this is written by a man with a motive as a being as superior as God would not have favourites as described in the bible.

Seems women can have relations with everyone:)

We have a new pope to infallibly interpret the bible for us! Habemus papam!

Btw, in the NT era that has never been interpreted as divine approbation for slavery, but rather as an interim and reluctant accommodation for a hard-hearted people, like the Mosaic divorce -- permitted to avoid an even greater evil, until the Restoration by HaMelech HaMosiach.

Of course there was a bias, Jesus Himself said so. Under God's law there is no such thing as divorce for example but it was permitted because the Jews wanted it.

Nah, took this other guy I know 54 years to figure it out, some people never do.

Yadda yadda interpret schmerpret, go read that 2 verses I quoted again. Your God says quite clearly in His infallible word that when you take slaves they are your property.

Boom! Slavery is fine, 'cos the big man said so..

I've always kinda wanted my own slave, wonder if I can own a Canadian?

Pffhahaha.

Oh my word. The hoops people jump through to justify this stuff... Baffling.

Was thinking exactly this, its quite entertaining actually.

The thing is though, when you are so self invested in this fairy tale, you will inevitably jump through all sorts of hoops.
